TF700 Keyboard dock and uploading PDF

Folks, I just purchased a TF700 and I am a newbie. Would like to hear some thoughts on whether or not I should purchase the keyboard dock or use a logitech bluetooth keyboard. Secondly, would love to get some advice on how to upload PDFs so I can read on the tablet.

Can only react on how to upload PDF's.
I use Webstorage from ASUS to exchange data between my PC and the tablet. On your PC you have to install Asus Webstorage, it opens a folder in which you place the files to up or download.. The files in the Webstorage can then be downloaded on your tablet. And of course vice versa.

Welcome mikemm--c'grats on the new 700. If you need more battery life (ie. work/travelling...or just an-on-the-move lifestyle), then I'd say go for the dock. Has a USB port that comes in handy, and a full size sd card slot...so a couple more storage options as well. If you're using it pretty much at home, occasional word doc work (and use another computer for heavier lifting say)...bluetooth keyboard is a great option. Personal preference really, whatever fits into what your main use is. As far as file transfer, the Guide To Transferring Your Files can be found here. (I find the micro sd card solution ideal, especially paired with a small usb adapter.) You will find that an improved file manager--such as ES File Explorer-- will give you additional options. ie. long press to pop up 'send to...move to...'etc, as well as the ability to set up a lan transfer to your home computer. If you're looking for other tips, take a scroll thru some of the addy's in my signature link, Master Help Guide has a ton of stuff to make navigating the tablet a whole lot easier. cheers.

I love having my keyboard dock for my tablet. Long (14 hour) flights and I can watch movies pretty much the entire time (except take off and landing). I have a 64 GB microSD and a 64 GB SD card to hold lots of media so I am never without something to watch if I want to. Some users get the keyboard and then never use it as they feel it defeats the purpose of the tablet. So, I guess you will need to evaluate if you think it is worth it or not for your use.

My wife has been through a few BT keyboards on her iPad, and none just do it all right. Some do not have the chicklet keys with proper separation, so it is hard to know what key you are hitting, some just dont feel right, etc. She does like the keyboard of the TF101, but too bad it does not work with her iPad.

Too bad? You do realize, if it did fit: you would be out a keyboard ...right?

And from the other side of the debate

I do not have a dock, & have never looked to own one & I have never found a need for one. Every single post & guide I have written here, for instance have been typed on a soft keyboard (onscreen), if you have a reason for the dock - and many do - then they are a great addition. I think, in your position, I would see how it goes & how much use you would get from one before I bought anything - be it the dedicated dock or any other Bluetooth keyboard.

    But that's just me...

    P.S.
It might be worth commenting that we are fully "post PC" in our house & find that we can do anything we need to do on tablets. In our working life both my wife & I worked in IT related technical positions, so it is more a matter of what suits us now, & not any sort of "technophobia"
