I got a reply and they said that they will repair the scratch and everything else at no extra cost. Apparently, it is a different kind of repair, and the Asus employee told me that my problem should be solved after that.

Since it looks as if they are going to have to replace the glass, I would record everything I could about the hardware, just to see if they're going to actually repair it, or do some sort of replacement, either new or a refurb. I would do this for my own curiosity. Good luck!

I have pictures of the damage, only it isn't very clear. You can feel the click. I actually made a whole video explaining what the problem is so I could show them what the clicking noise was like, where it was, what the damage looked like and how the screen moved up and down. Only they weren't allowed to watch youtube videos so... what do you mean by recording everything I can about my TF700?

All I meant was any tell-tale marks that you could identify it as yours, as well as ID#s.

I sent it and got it back today. Just opened it and it looks fine. There is one part at the bottom where it moves just a little big, but there it not damage, not noise and it feels much firmer and seems much more robust. I recorded the unpacking process but I am satisfied now. This DOESN'T mean that I am satisfied with ASUS Service repair. Took extremely long and I was not informed well of what they were doing.

For anyone who gets the same problem, make sure that when you get it back you reply within 48 hours otherwise they will not assume they made a mistake. Next to this, make sure you get a special case Free Of Charge repair. They replaced my screen with no extra charge.

    Thanks for all the help!
