[HOW] How to unlock TF700 with latest JB update?
Alright, as many other people have already posted, my tf700 is really not as good as I expected. Taking aside the fact that many functionality still have some problems (like the alarm), my OS experience is no good either. Definitely not as smooth as I expected with the JB update. (if your tf700 is running smooth out of the box please don't comment in this post, please) I know there is ROMs like CleanRom that apparently are really fixing my issues and I want to get into that asap.
I am on stock Jelly Bean with the latest update up to 10/20/2012. No rooted and not unlocked (Yes I know it will void the warranty). Can someone please explain how to proceed from my stand point.(maybe a couple of steps) because all the other posts I find are about people keeping root and not sure if the ASUS unlock tool works with the last update.
I know I am a noob so please don't be mean in this post....................oh, and my tablet is not THAAT bad, is just that I'm really expecting the best from this device...the BEST

Well first things, first. Welcome to the forum.
Secondly, if you haven't followed this guide when you updated your firmware, then I would start there as it will probably give you a better device without further effort.
[GUIDE] How to update your firmware OTA - incremental changes & full OS updates.
Also, you posted in tf101 FAQ for some reason, so I have moved your thread to Infinity help.

Hello janner43, I'm pretty much in the same boat as lkanant was, got my TF700T two days ago, and run through update without going to forums and doing some reading 1st... So now my TF700T is at JB4.1.1. with build JRO03C.US_epad-10.4.4.20-20121026... Nothing has been installed yet, because I want to root it 1st, but reading your posted guide I've come to question I can't seem to find the answer yet... Quoting from leeshor's thread: "This applies to all TF models, however, if your Prime or Infinity are locked up, there is a reset available using the hole just below the SD Card slot, this is NOT the same as a hard reset." Given that I've passed OS upgrade now - how to unlock my Infinity so I can proceed further? And do I still need to do a "cold boot" a few times with erase or skip it? I'll appreciate any help and I realize that I'm new here so I'll have to do a lot of reading, but just something to start with.... At least how to get tablet unlocked.... Thanks...

Im rooting and installing custom ROM kat kiss nougatella on the Asus Transformer TF700T. I used this link from Asus https://www.asus.com/ru/support/Download/28/1/0/11/8/ to unlock the bootloader. I starting off fully stock Android 4.2.1. There are more instructions on XDA developers. Or PM me.

You both are missing the obvious, there is a VERY good tutorial right here on this forum:
Beginners Guide to flashing a custom ROM on TF700T
It's sort-of mirrored on XDA also but easier to find right here.
