Slow transfer between TF700 and Windows 7

I have a TF700 with Jelly Bean. I find file transfer (via MTP) between it and my PC with Windows 7 is extremely slow. Is it normal ?

    Thnx for any help.

    Welcome, thuynh9.

That's not really the fastest or best way to move stuff around.

An SD card and reader works the best.

"Slow" is a relative term. What's slow for you may seem fast to someone else. There are a lot of variables but if you expect it to work like a decent flash drive, it isn't likely to seem very fast. It isn't seen as a mass storage device is a part of the problem.

    Hi,
I am getting about 200Kilo bytes /s when i transfer from tf700 to a windows 7 laptop(sony) share. I'm copying pictures from tf700 to laptop using AndSMB app.

TF700 has all os, firmware updates from Asus.

Both TF700 and laptop is on Wireless N. Wifi Router is Cisco E1000. Tf700 shows 65Mbps as connected spped, Laptop 130Mbps.

Not sure how it may help, but I just started using AirDroid and it is very good.

A lot of this depends upon the "write speed" of the NAND flash on the device. 200 KBps is not bad, not speedy though either.

As MikeM stated, it's usually best to do the transfer to SD card via card reader method.

    Keep us posted.
