Touch Panel Firmware Update - Help!

My asus keeps turning on to a screen that says "Updating touch panel firmware"..... and then after a while it says " Failed to update". I can't get out of this screen what do I do?

I've restarted the device like 10 times now and it keeps going back to that screen. I have wifi all over the house so it's definately not a connection problem.

Could it be from liquids getting into the tablet? Just a few hours ago I applied the armor suit screen protector which comes with a spray to make things easier.

Had the same problem with my TF700 as well. Tried reseting by pressing the button at the side of the tablet but the problem is not solved.

    Welcome to the forum

Using the reset hole is not the same as a cold boot.

The link to how to do a cold boot is in my signature. If that doesn't work, then in the Master Help Guide (also linked from my signature) you will find a guide on how to Factory Reset.

If that doesn't fix it, then sadly you will have to return your device to Asus for a warranty repair.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried factory reset (Power + vol down) and got to the new device welcome setup screen. From there touch screen could respond to touches. So decided to send back to asus for repair.

I'm a little confused - if your touch screen started working after the Factory Reset, why are you returning the device to Asus?

    Asus TF700T Onscreen Keyboard Issue

Hi, I experienced the same issue. After bringing to Asus Service Center, service center guy said it is Touch Panel and I/O board is defective. So they replaced both parts. After 2 days same issue encountered. I can't even type a word because of the sticky onscreen keyboard. It holds the letters even if i just tapped it.

    Any suggestions please.
