    screen brightness......

My screen brightness seems to rise 3 steps in brightness when changing pages or returning to the home screen. It is very slight, but it happens. I have auto brightness turned off and it seems to to happen in all power modes. It is almost like it is trying to render the image, but it isn't just web pages. Simply going from app menu to home screen does it. Anyone else notice this?

    Re: screen brightness......

This is a dynamic brightness feature. People at xda forum talk about this, there seems to be some commands to disable it or re-enable this feature, but I have no idea how to do it. But it CAN be disabled. But remember once disabled, it will use a bit more battery. Maybe someone else can tell u how to disable it.

Thank you. I vaguely remembered reading about this when researching prior to buying my infinity, but couldn't find it again when I searched. I wasn't sure if this was that feature or a defect. Doesn't really bother me, was just checking before my return window closed.

    Re: screen brightness......

Like already mentioned, us folks over @ XDA Developers have found ways to disable this feature (with no noticeable difference in battery usage).

We've also found a way to "tune" the auto-brightness on the TF700, which was useless as it came (for me at least - would always set brightness all of the way down when at home). Not, I leave auto-brightness enabled and I've tuned it to my liking - works great now.

Here is a link to an awesome "sticky" post over on XDA with tons of good tuning information:
