Can't sync video to Asus TF700?

Just got an Asus Transformer Infinity after being a long time iPad one user.

The only other Android device I've owned was the original Droid, and when I wanted to sync videos to it I would just drag and drop to the Video folder when it was connected to the USB via computer. I can sync my comics to my Asus through this method making a new folder labeled "Comics" and they show up fine in Komik Reader. However when I try to add my shows to a folder called "Shows" or even the default "Videos" I get a "Windows Explorer has stopped working, looking for a solution" message. I really want to be able to transfer these easily, however nothing is working that I can figure out.

Please tell me I didn't get a lemon, and any help would be appreciated!

That is a weird one. I don't exactly know of a fix for that. Hopefully someone does. But if the tablet can use Airdroid, makes for a good wireless file transfer (one of several apps to do so). I just like Airdroid's interface and usability. Slower than USB however. Good luck Hero

Thanks Fitty. How do you transfer your files? Just by dragging and dropping them? Or is there a file managing program I can download?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i dont use windows. but when i want to transfer a file to my tablet, i either:
1 - take my memory card/usb thumb drive and plug it into my pc, put the file on there then put it back in my tablet.

2 - using File Manager HD (there are other apps that can do this as well), i connect to my pc thru the LAN option, and just copy the file to my device that way. Just make sure you set the share options on your pc first.

download Airdroid app in Google Play and then go to www.web.airdroid.com in pc browser. I am in love with the ability to log in via QR code!

Edit: Airdroid does drag and drop.

I am having the same issue as well. When I try to connect my infinity to my pc, it tells me to download asus sync on support.asus.com. Exactly which one to download I was already confused. I've downloaded an asus sync program and it didnt sync at all. The computer will pop up this "Found new hardware". Then it tells me to proceed and install a hardware. Then it just says "windows was not successful of installing...... becoz it cant find the necessary hardware" please help!

I just copied a .avi file to mine wile connected to my PC via USB.

Try this: Settings:Accounts & sync: UN-tick Launch Asus Sync
Then:Settings:Storage:Tap Menu in top right corner - make sure Media Device (MTP) is ticked on

Drivers may install in windows when you connect using your supplied USB cable and the TF700

the 700 will NOT show up as a drive it should show up as a Device

Works for me...pretty quick file transfer too.

I don't THINK you'll see it there. You have to open control panel and then, depending how the VIEW is set (mine is set to View By Catagory), select Veiw Devices and Printers under the heading of Hardware and Sound.
