    changed to 2.8.7.4 kang twrp

So I have changed ver of twrp from 3.0.2 to Lang 2.8.7.4. Some people seem to think that the 3.????? Ver of twrp could be a issue. So, to make sure it is not? I will fast boot it today and down grade or up grade, how ever you look at it. To kang twrp. Everyone seem to like it the best. Fast boot is working good on windows 10 fyi.

I haven't heard anything bad about TWRP3; I just haven't had a chance to try it. You should be good with either. Don't worry about needing to format /system unless we have problems. Save the TWRP logs in case you do.

    Log file

Ok, followed the directions at the ok site and no dice. Just stuck at boot screen with the Asus logo. Tarp works and so does Fast boot. Log link is below. Http://www.mediafire.com/download/ke5cr8v1s2sd6fj/recovery.log

It looks like a bad download. Did you check the md5? I'm not an expert log reader, but the tab appears to have the remnants of an Omni install on it, and the new ROM failed to install because it didn't extract to the size the installer expected. SuperSU and Gapps were both confused of course. So check your md5sum and download again if necessary.

First, I would like to thank you again and wished I had read the master guide first. But, now really at this point do not care what rom I use or even if it is stock. I just need a starting point to get to the rom I think is best. I will never touch wipe data from the boot loader again. I should have read more and more before I just did what 1 site said. I should have used TWRP and not the boot loader to wipe data. I might not be in this issue if I had access to your Master guide at that time.....lol

OK, lets forget the custom rom,s for now and get this thing running. I have tried to use the pt file to correct the issue and it did not help either. So, how can i install the factory software from asus and start over and follow the master guide?
    1. I have flashed the current kang twrp (yes)
2 Buster99 fix (not done yet)?
    3. Downloaded the current or most current firm ware from here https://www.asus.com/support/Downloa...oq64av1O95u/8/
    4. Fastboot is working
So, if I do the buster99 method this is how it should look?
    fastboot erase system
    fastboot erase recovery
    fastboot erase userdata
    fastboot erase boot
    fastboot erase misc
    fastboot erase cache
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system c:\adb\ (not sure what to put here?) (should it be fastboot - i 0x0B05 flash system blob?)
    fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot

So, will this correct the partitions and any disk errors and take me back to asus factory settings? Will I still be unlocked after I do this?

Yes, try the buster99 and yes, the flash command is 'fastboot - i 0x0B05 flash system blob' IF the blob is in your fastboot directory.
It'll completely turn you back to stock except for the bootloader. That stays unlocked

    1. Boot your device into the fastboot menu
    2. Connect your device to the PC
    3. Enter this cmd:
      Code:
      fastboot devices
    4. You should see a random serial number for your device
    5. Then enter this cmd:
      Code:
      fastboot format system
    6. Report back what you see and good luck
