Power saving ,balanced, and performance modes

Is there somewhere showing exactly what these do? As in how much does it really help with games or saving battery? Is there a chart showing a percentage for each mode?

For the performance settings, in Normal mode, all four of the Tegra 3 CPUís cores can operate at their maximum speed of 1.3 GHz; in Balanced mode the cores are capped at 1.2 GHz. Power Saving mode caps the cores at 600 MHz when all four are active, 700 MHz when three are active, and 1 GHz when one or two are active. It also caps the frame rate at 35 fps and lowers the display power.[/URL]
I believe that these numbers are for the transformer prime but the same principle applies except performance mode boosts the clock speed all the way up to 1.6 Ghz on the tf700

Each increases/decreases the CPU clocking and GPU clocking. In performance mode, 1 CPU core is at 1.7 GHz, the other 3 at 1.6GHz, and the GPU clock at 600. Balanced is about 1.5 GHz CPU clock, and 480 or so GPU clock. and power saver even lower. I havent been on a stock kernel forever so cannot remember all the clockings each gives.

Didn't see this question anywhere else. Why does the TF700 automatically go back to balanced power mode after being set to performance mode. This happened on my TF201 as well. Just curious. Not a problem.

Never noticed it when I'm running the tablet, but it will always revert after a restart of the tablet

Gtanner. Is that flashpaste you're using at the end when you talk about your spelling issues?

You can change that in Asus customized settings under System Performance.
Not sure if the change survives a re-boot.

I strongly recommend using Balanced mode. I checked on the stock ROM on Galaxy S3 Neo and Cyanogenmod one. "Balanced" is the only one NORMAL cpu mode. Stock roms are using this mode That balances each of the cpus and activates one of them in need. In Performance mode, all cores are activated and using MAX FREQUENCIES. That's bad for your CPU's life, same as battery. And when in Performance, your device can cause conflicts and reboots...
