Typing Special Characters using TF201 Keyboard

The easiest way I know is to tap the little keyboard symbol next to the clock and turn the physical keyboard off. This will pop up the virtual keyboard and you can access the symbols from that. The physical keyboard will still work with the virtual showing.

not sure on those particular symbols, but I love the hacker's keyboard.

One thing I do on my main PC, which probably would work well in tablet - create a text document with all the characters you need and just copy/paste em. I suspect knowing the ascii codes might work, but am not sure on that.

When creating the copy/paste text file, just google the code you want, then copy it off of the browser.

This makes me think about something... is it possible to install other fonts on android? I have hundreds of various fonts on the pc.

Frederuco, thanks for the info, I found a previous thread you had posted and tried, but the character I was looking for (degree) was not there. I do like being able to shift/ctrl between the physical/soft keyboards though :-) Looking like I'll need to do some creative character mapping. Will also look at the hackers keyboard as mentioned. If I find something that will let me map "multiple, selectable" keypads, I can get crazy!

if in desperation and you already have the dock, i mention due to the usb connection. you can use any wireless keyboard. when my main pc died and i was waiting for the new one to be made i had to use my infinity for a lot of the big typing jobs i would not normally do on the tablet. i experimented and the first wireless keyboard a logitech worked fine as did the second a ms keyboard. nice bonus was that all the short cut keys for windows also work for android. just saying if it is something you need do but rarely and if you are anything like me and have tons of extra parts lying around, just put the usb dongle in and get your "special" characters type them and then go back to the asus dock or hit each character you plan to use throughout the document. then temporarily type all in a single line, space down start writing and then just copy and paste from that one line of characters as needed. once done then just delete the line of characters. not the easiest way but an option that will work in a pinch.
