    JB and Encryption

Got the new JB firmware installed but ran into a problem encrypting my TF700. After initializing the encrypt process, it goes away and does its thing for an hour or so. After it is done, it is sitting at the screen asking for the password to decrypt storage. I enter the password, get the android robot for a couple of seconds and then the ASUS flash screen with a spinning circle underneath. It stays on this screen forever (hours really). The only way to recover the tablet is to restart and wipe data. No encryption and all my data is gone (of course...). Is anyone else having issues with encrypting their TF700 with JB?

Same here, been with the issue since the JB update, I have let them know, and I received a generic answer:

    <<Dear valued customer
Thank you for contacting ASUS Technical Service

Hi,for the problem you mentioned after updating to JellyBean,I received the
TF700T JB V10.4.4.16 Release Note on October 5th,you may then receive the note soon,it will make some improvements. If the problem still remains, you may perform wipe data to have a try.

    Wish you a nice day!>>

I have Wiped the data about 5 times already, and nothing, everything works great until you encrypt it again, the issue is that this is an Office Tablet and it MUST be encrypted, I have no other option, and with this scenario, it's useless.

Yes, same here. Had it soft brick twice after trying to encrypt. Running unencrypted now, but hope there is a fix shortly. I do not want to have to revert to ICS.

Tech service recomenned that I submit an RMA to revert back to ICS, I am passing on this because encryption would be nice but not necessary. Hope they get it resolved for the people that need it.

May I have a Telephone Number to call in the USA? Not happy at all with the email support, it takes more than 24 hours to simply tell me that I should Wipe the data, they seem to not even bother to read the detailed explanation I submitted.

Yay, that didn't take them too long to fix, but they still shouldn't have released it with such a critical flaw.
