buy now or wait for next transformer

Hi all I am a current prime owner. However my screen is brutally cracked and I have electrical tape running along the borders so I don't feel the cracks on my thumbs. It is not as bad as sounds though as I no longer even notice the cracks when the screen is on. But my question is if the infinity is a significant enough of an upgrade to justify buying now. Or if I should wait for the tegra4 (a15) version. Which is what I originally wanted to do. Because I already bought two transformers in the past year, the original and now the prime. So as I understand it the only real improvements in the infinity are wifi/GPS, better screen, and slightly faster performance . The battery however is worse? Now as far as wifi/GPS are concerned I am fine with the performance of the prime. And while the better screen would be nice, especially considering mine is cracked. It doesn't sound like many developers updating there app for the higher resolution yet. And some apps don't look as good on the new screen. Is that true. and Are there any other issues you guys think I should consider.

Well...the Infinity does have Gorilla Glass 2 lol! However, I would recommend you upgrade. Worst case scenario, buy it at Best Buy and test it for the 30 days. Can't go wrong with spending money that you can get back. I turned in my Prime and got my money Direct Deposited back into my account in 3 days, which then got spent on my Infinity.

upgrade, you wont regret it -- the higher def screen is worth the upgraded alone.

My next update will be for something with an HD screen - but I don't want/need the dock & in the UK the tf700 is only available in 64gb with the dock AND the launch date keeps getting delayed (no change there, then) ... so what the upgrade will be is not certain yet. But it will happen in September (birthday )

I say get the TF700T model now along with a dock keyboard. This unit provides all of the external ports you could want or need. It has Gorilla Glass 2 for a screen material as well as being HD in its resolution! It has a dock keyboard accessory that when used with the tablet provides an extra battery, a full USB port and a full SD memory card slot. The keyboard works well as does the track pad. All of the drivers have been installed within the OS so you can connect an external USB hard drive, memory sticks, memory cards, game consoles as well as a fully functioning mouse. I have also been able to use a USB hub with all of these devices connected to my TF700T at the same time. An improved OS upgrade is on the horizon in a very short time. Other than an improved CPU or RAM I can not think of any thing else Asus can add to the Transformer series that it hasn't already done.

At this rate waiting just for this one to be actually released and IN STORES so we can see and try it... you'll be waiting a LONG TIME for another transformer to come out.

Delays like this are par for the course with Asus Tablets, sadly...
