    poor battery performance

Am on my lsecond infinity and having terrible battery issues.
On power savling mode for 2 hrs 59 mlns and have 35% left.
Just playing, no videos etc. 48% used by screen and 35% by wifi
I really want to like this but but it is not even half its claimed life and i have used it daily for last 9 days.
    Any ideas?

How bright is your screen when doing these tests?

It is at the max. Auto bright is awful. Ipad 3l lasts much longer on max bright.
3 hrs 25 mlns now with 25% left.

Sorry for the pun but you are comparing apples to oranges as the iPad is around 350 nits brightness while the TF700 is 600 nits. That's for starters.

It's entirely possible something else is affecting the battery. The problem(s) with Android is that in some areas you can do so much more, like an extra active widget or 2 or 3 or active wallpaper or the People app sync frequency or Google Music.

The bottom line is that you are probably correct in that battery use is a little on the light side but there is probably a reason somewhere. Make certain blue tooth is off and check for other sync frequency. Better yet if you want to do a real test, factory reset, don't sync or install anything and test again.

I don't have the TF700 but maximum nits is 600 and 9.5 hours is listed on the ASUS Website at 100 nits brightness. The screen is a battery hog, so reducing your brightness level should give you more battery life.

How long do you think a Infinity battery should last asleep? Or how much depletion should I seen from being asleep with wifi and blutooth off.

If you install Auto Airplane Mode, (by DON) from the Store you would probably see a 2%-3% loss every 7-8 hours. The battery will still suffer a power loss even if turned off even though it will be slower. AAM cuts the WiFi automatically when sleeping and that's pretty much where the drain starts or stops.
