    GPS on Transformer Pad Infinity?

Is the GPS on the Transformer Pad Infinity a stand alone unit, or do you have to have 3G/4G/LTE service for it to work? Thanks

It's independent, at least it is on the TF101's.

When defining it as stand-alone, the GPS hardware is, but there is no GPS app included with the Transformers that would allow it to be used as a stand-alone GPS. You would probably end up needing a GPS app like CoPilot or Sygic to make it really useful. But the hardware is there and works.

Since your unit does not have a SIM Card 3G or any other mobile service does not really matter. As stated above, the GPS is a stand alone
