    TF700 hangs at teamwin curtain

Not sure what my son did here
or if his TF700 is salvagable

At boot, it shows the device is unlocked, top left on the ASUS screen,
then 4 sitting penguins appear in the top left,
    followed by the teamwin curtain
    and it stops there

    adb devices shows
    0123456789ABCDEF recovery

    adb reboot-bootloader
does nothing. it's as if the command is waiting for a reply from the tablet
must use ctrl-C to get back the command line

    adb shell returns
    ~ # ^[[25;5R

if i backspace to erase the characters to the right of the # sign and enter
    ls -l /dev/block/mmc*
    it returns

    ls -l /dev/block/mmc*

What are your bootloader version, TWRP version, and ROM name and version? Do you have anythings on the device to backup to your PC? Do you have your good current backup?

Your device is recoverable that I believed....
