Doom? Boot loop-Asus splash, rooted, TWRP, power+vol_down-sticks in 3 icon screen

There are lots of posts on this, they are all slightly to totally different. I'm not experienced enough to glean the problem and solution. The last thread conclusion I read ended poorly, hosed.

    Rooted, TWRP, CROMi-X ROM tf700t

Earlier post today on the wrong thread:
Stuck in boot loop Asus splash screen. Was very hot.
If I hold down the power and volume-down down it goes to the 3 icon screen - I cannot chose, it pulls up the "teamwin" start screen - then returns to the Asus start screen cycle.

The 3 icon screen says, "Starting Fastboot USB protocol"

Oh this time I got it on the "droid" icon, which is just flashing. At least it is cooling off.

Now hours later... It ran out of power. I plugged it in. Still boot loop, Asus splash screen - power off then on - Asus splash screen, loop.

If I get to the 3 icon screen with RCK, Android, Wipe nothing else happens, RCK icon flashes. No teamwin splash, no boot loop, cannot choose-engage any of the 3 icons. One time a few minutes ago I got the teamwin splash screen but back to boot loop. I left it on the 3 icon screen so it doesn't overheat. Now it's out of power and I am here for help.

    Please help? Thank you

CONCLUSION/UPDATE: I stupidly chose the "Wipe Data" icon during the process - and I bricked the tablet. There is a lot of useful info in this thread - Except DO NOT CHOOSE THE WIPE DATA ICON.

I hope I'm wrong.... but you have one of two futures ahead of you...
    1) Hours spent reformatting partitions, or...
    2) A dead duck

Kevin & DB are bound to be along in a bit...

Toni, at least you're unlocked. The "dead duck" problems we've been seeing lately have been due to locked bootloaders.

Charge your tablet up as fully as possible. While you're in the bootloader screen (3 icons), connect to the PC and try "fastboot reboot-recovery" (I can't ever remember if the dash is supposed to be there or not). With any luck that'll put you into TWRP where you can restore your latest Nandroid.

If that won't work try a fastboot erase userdata, then fastboot reboot.

Halfway back from the dead - sorry have been sick as a dog.
Kevin is right: If you have fastboot access all is not lost:
    In fastboot, in this order:
erase data - check if it boots
reflash recovery - check if you can boot into it
    Do a Buster99

Yeah! I'll take the hope too! I had faith, though I tried to buy another Asus transforI mer tf100atf or whatever on EBay for $100. Something weird happened when I tried to pay. Anyway...

Kevin, I don't know how to "try fast boot-recovery". Or the second option. I don't even remember how to access the tablet from the PC. I can look back to Droidbound's instructions.

Yay!! All the that effort to unlock paid off epically. You guys rule!

@Droidbound hi! Thanks! So sorry you've not been well.

Wait...Fastboot is the screen with the 3 icons? If so, I can't do anything on that screen.

You realize that the only thing I've ever done is unlock it with you all holding me hand? And Buster99?

ALSO...if you are not feeling well enough to deal with this, I can wait - please don't tax yourself.

I now own a t100af, the transaction did go through. $100, barely used, with the keyboard. Oops!

    nothing happens with fastboot command.
    Next this...

    C:\adb>erase data
    Could Not Find c:\adb\data

I restarted the tablet with power+vol-down.
The tablet connected to the PC...Windows doesn't "recognize" the device.
This time I could move and choose an icon.
I chose RCK and the teamwin splash came up.

Then it rebooted back to Asus splash screen loop.
Choosing and having the icons respond is an improvement.

What about "wipe data" icon? Should I try that?
