    Saw your PM
    Tried the new command

    insmod /bootit.ko

The command shuts the TF700 down. It does not reboot on its' own.
I have to manually power the tablet back on
It boots the same as described in the beginning

    adb devices
still shows that it is in recovery

It should work just fine to write to the staging. It just a temporary partition to hold a file/files and execute on the next reboot.

It would be wise to understand the detail information before proceeding with the bootloader dd cmd. Just my opinion.

    Cheers,

Doh. I shouldn't be fooling with this sort of thing when I'm tired. Unfortunately these days I'm ALWAYS tired.

EDIT: Hold your horses, just had an idea. It really helps if you sit down and really think about this stuff. Pushing bootit.ko to the root directory on the tablet may or may not work. On mine if I remove root I actually get a fail trying to push a file to /
Try the same command but this time we are going to use internal memory or data/media or however you want to call it.
    So:
    Code:
    adb push bootit.ko /sdcard/
Now let's test if this actually worked:
    Code:
    adb shell
    ls /sdcard/
Yes, that is hitting Enter after adb shell, then the list command to see what's in /sdcard/. If you see the bootit.ko file, exit the shell by typing "exit" and hit enter.
Back at the adb command line type:
    Code:
    adb shell insmod /sdcard/bootit.ko
The command has to be one line, do not separate the "adb shell" from the rest of the command. Just tried it and that does not work.
bootit.ko works for me like a charm, kicks the tablet into the bootloader each time...
The whole thing should look like this:

    adb bootit.ko.PNG

Let's leave the below for the next step...

    Wrote this earlier
    : Darn. And no fastboot....

Ok, since the tablet is essentially dead at this point my next idea would be to test an unproven theory. You have to decide if you want to follow along.
The goal is to wipe the misc partition with a dd command in adb shell. I think the risk here is pretty low since misc is used for nothing essential and possibly it holds the command that has the tablet stuck in booting to recovery. So if you're game, try this (and double check the code, you do not want to overwrite the wrong partition here):
    Code:
    adb shell
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=64 count=1
    That's the number 0 in mmcblk0p3..
Then reboot and keep your fingers crossed

    ls /sdcard/

shows that the bootit.ko file is there

    adb shell insmod /sdcard/bootit.ko

shuts the tf700 down and I have to manually power it back on
adb devices still show the the tf700 to be in recovery mode

    How long should
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=64 count=1
take to complete? It's been 10 minutes already.

    The command dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=64 count=1
    never did finish

I'd say we are no further ahead than when I first started the thread [URL="http://www.transformerforums.com/forum/transformer-pad-infinity-tf700-tegra-3-development/49362-tf700-hangs-teamwin-curtain.html"]

Sorry I've been MIA, I probably had my head stuffed up too far. As near as I can tell, we haven't tried the obvious easy step: adb reboot bootloader. Give that command a try and see what happens. Note that there is no dash; the command should work both ways but...

    Sorry
been trying to catch-up since the long weekend

    adb reboot bootloader
    appears to do nothing
after hitting enter, there is no response from the TF700
nor does the TF700 appear to react to the command
