Infinity TF700T Dock AD01
I have had the TF700t for many years and it has worked fine. It is running the latest firmware from ASUS V10.6.1.14.10 and Jelly Bean 4.2.1. I just purchased a used AD01 Keyboard on eBay and nothing functions on the keyboard except the charging port when plugged in. I have reset it many times trying to get it to work with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion?

My first suggestion would be to return it. You have my sympathies; I just received a fancy keyboard for my PC from Amazon and the Enter key is stuck down. Hopefully you can return yours as easily as I can mine.

I think you have to open it and see for yourself if the connectors are properly placed in their holders with tiny clips. Mine where not, placed the connectors again et voila, it runs. You can find on youtube how to do that, very easy to do.

The shipping was the same price as the keyboard so returning it is not likely. I did watch the video to take apart and that was my next step. I wonder why the tiny clips would become disconnected.

Sloppy guy perhaps, where they disconnected? Is the problem solved?

I unplugged all of the connectors inside the keyboard and plugged them in. It is still not working. I did notice that the tablet will charge with the keyboard plugged into AC but not just by plugging into the dock when the dock is charged. The only reason i believe the dock is charged is because the light next to charging port on keyboard starts out orange and turns green after an hour of charging. I assume that means the battery on the dock is good.
Nothing on the dock seems to be working including usb port and sd card reader
The other thing I noticed is that when I look at the setting of the tablet under dock it says mobile dock version unavailable.

Now that I looked at the dock my tablet it looks damaged. It almost looks as if a pin is bent. Here is a picture.FullSizeRender.jpg

Can't really see that, but that connector does cause some trouble. Does it look like the same pin on the dock is bent? And how steady is your hand? I would try forcing a sewing needle into a pencil eraser with the sharp end out, and with a magnifying glass, pushing the pin into place. And possibly do the same with the dock connector. For me, that would require laying off coffee for a couple days, and that just isn't an option. AFAIK you can't replace the connector in the tablet, but if you can find one let me know--my better half's 700 has a loose one. But it does look like you have a good dock and a bad tablet. Even if you can't get this combo to work, though, you can use a cheap BT keyboard, you just won't have the extra battery life or the USB and SD slots. I'm guessing that other accessories won't work either as they'd use the same pin for data transfer.
