    Thumbs up Poor customer service...

I got the keyboard back... it works... and they scratched it, big ol' scratch across the touchpad.

    Oh well.

    oh and I got this...LOL!

    Dear ASUS Valued Customer,
Your RMA is scheduled for shipment today.
You may check status with the courier directly
for estimated delivery date; however please keep
in mind that the courier’s website may not be updated
until after 7pm PST depending on the actual pick
    up time of your RMA.

Holy hell batman, are they retarted or what?

    you? *sigh*

...pretty bad when the best you can say is "well at least they didn't lose it."
The scratch, icing on the cake for a job not well done--considering how often they toss around 'customer induced damaged.'
Thanks for the updates Sarge, wish this movie had a better ending....re-affirms one thing for this eejit:
Be a cold day in Hades b4 Asus would get an rma fron me.

For me the touch pad is a useless addon. I use it maybe one a month, and only for troublesome internet sites. Glad you got it back, I sent mine in twice and that is a typical return from ASUS repair center the email arrives the day the unit does or the day after. LOL

The use or need for the touch pad irrelevant.

What is... they scratched the dimples out of a customers property
and failed to compensate or even admit it.

...and yeah, I guess I'm just happy they did not lose it.

    peace!

As a relatively new owner of a TF I am sorry to hear all this about the seemingly very poor after sales service from Asus, [this seems to be a common complaint] do they carry out the works themselves, inhouse, or do they subcontract it to a third party, if so maybe they need to consider changing them as it's giving Asus a bad name. ? Maybe it would be a good idea to photograph it before it's sent away, ensuring that the serial number show.
