[ SOLVED ] What is a ...cold boot

Still waiting for delivery of my infinity it. Seems after reading the forum I might have made the wrong decision there seems to be many faults with this model anyways I have read a few times about cold boot can anyone tell me what this is and when do I need to do it .Thanks in advance .

I wouldn't stress about issues. Most tablets are issue free but those people don't usually come and post in a forumn... " hey my tablet is wonderful!" I have had mine since October, not one issue that I didn't cause myself and that couldn't be easily fixed.

A cold boot is a way off shaking out any bugs, like when there are random files or such left behind after installing and uninstalling apps. Clears out the cobwebs so to speak. It is done by charging the tablet, then unplugging and powering it off. Hold the volume down button and power button at the same time. Continue holding until you see 4 icons midscreen and some tiny white text top left corner. Release the buttons and let it start up... voila!

It is advised to do this before AND after any system updates, and any time your tabletis acting cranky.

Cold Boot is just a way to boot the tablet and clear out some caches and spider webs that can slow it down. You need to do it before each firmware update from Asus, and any time your tablet starts to feel slow.
