    BitTorrent app side-effects?

So I've noticed something and wanted some others insight on this ( and not on the use of torrents plz and thank you )
Anyways on my first infinity i installed BitTorrent and noticed afterwards that my tablet became glitchy, it would freeze and force restart, apps would freeze and force closure and it became laggy. Even after i uninstalled the app the problems still stayed. So i returned that one because of a different no related issues and got a new one. Well stupidly I installed BitTorrent again and the same problems happened again. What do y'all think? Anyone else have something like this happen and does anyone think there is a fix besides a factory reset?

I think you have hit on one of the general Android issues of app quality & stability coupled with the now widely reported I/O speed issue on the tf700 which would likely account for the symptoms you describe.

Try a cold boot (link in my signature), if that doesn't clear it, then yes, do a Factory Reset.

    Alrighty then..

Essentially its a design level OS memory/process handling bottleneck that is slowing up the device making it laggy & unresponsive. Exactly as you & others are reporting.

I should add a warning that all the fixes require you to root & unlock the bootloader which will permanently invalidate your warranty as the devices serial number is reported to Asus when you unlock.

    Re: BitTorrent app side-effects?

Ok well if i avoid rooting and just sadly do a factory reset will my tablet be fixed from the issue BitTorrent created? I mean i know it's not a long term thing cause it might happen with a different app but until then?

Yes, I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't. It won't (of course) fix this underlying & fundamental issue with Asus quad core designs

IMO this has nothing to do with Asus designs. It's obviously a BitTorrent issue
