There seems to be only one way to learn the lesson about backing up your data. I was lucky, learned it early so I didn't lose much.

    hi,
I was able to charge up one of these puppies and get it to the bootloader. see pics. I was able to see text but it was sooo small I had to magnify it to read it. but don't hold me to the chars. there are three icons dead center RCK, android, wipe data, I'll research how to use the two that are not self explanatory. is recovery possible at this point? combined-pics.png

Well, there is a good chance that we can recover the tablet. No guarantees though, but you don't have much to lose at this point, do you?
We have a handy guide for manually flashing the original firmware which should return your tablet to good as new condition. Not considering the deterioration of the battery, CPU, solder, LCD and other hardware parts if course
    [GUIDE] How to manually update/restore firmware (TF101, TF201, TF300, TF700, TF701)
Use the microSD method. If you have questions ask in that thread.

Awesome, I don't want to try it myself, not my expertise and I don't want to screw it up. I have 3 of them, can you recommend some one who might be able to do it? would you give it a try and if so, how much would it cost?
    thanks,
    daveC

    @DaveC

The process is easy. All it will cost is your time.
The guide is easy. All it needs is for you to read it carefully.
This forum is a user to user "help yourself" forum - if you can post here, you can do a manual reinstall of firmware. In abbreviated and simple terms, all it requires is to download the firmware from Asus, unzip it and copy it to a microSD card, then put it into the TF300.

Start your learning process with the easiest method to try...
    1) Click on the link to the Master Help Guide in my signature, below
    2) Scroll down to the "How-to's" section
    3) Click on the link to [GUIDE] How to flash Official Firmware downloaded from ASUS site. There is a special section all about the TF300 - it should work even in your situation.
    4) Read and then re-read the process and then follow it.

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

Your opinion matters. But should you disagree - please try not to be disagreeable
