You can't check the version by starting it up. It should have a part number on the digitizer. Open Up the tablet to see.. The teardown guides on Ifixit and Youtube should help.

Yeah, knew that. But if i could start it up i could see what version of the digitizer i should be having. I have ordered one up the g03 to see if its the possible winner. Lets cross fingers! I will write here either way!

You can't check the version of the digitizer by starting it up. It's a physical part. Settings>about tablet shows software "touch panel version" which might be what you're thinking of.

Here's a thread you should look through. A Google search for " T300 digitizer replacement" has links that could help you as well.

yeah, but if i could do that one wouldnt it tell me what version i should be using?

Dont know.. should be a "what part matches your tf300t by region" hate that they have 4different digitizers... which one is the most common? White label is the one i have now and thats not a match.

Swedish version of digitizer? Or lets say the most common one in sweden?

Sorry, won't work. There are other hardware components associated with the digitizer itself that must match, and the FW is no different.

If you have a USB OTG adaptor (or a keyboard dock or connect dock) you can substitute a USB mouse for the touchscreen.

Hard to tell, but that is not the Asus product. Lately we've seen problems with the aftermarket adapters. I just gave my 300 a try with the Asus OTG adapter and a Microsoft optical USB mouse, it works fine. A right-click does nothing, the Android equivalent is a long-click, like a long-press.

In your position, you will have to decide for yourself whether you want to throw any more money at that particular piece of hardware. You can usually find refurb 300s for around US$130.
