I found that turning off Dreams in Display settings made a massive difference to battery life. Dreams was introduced with 4.2.1 and as soon as I turned it off the battery life went back to pre 4.2.1 performance.

Hi again, thanks for the replies.

So I left it again overnight docked. No GPS, I force stopped Maps, no auto sync, disconnect during sleep always, wifi on during sleep never and daydream off.
The drain is still massive , 46% over 10 hours with no use and the tablet had shutdown for no reason.

When I turned it on again it I did see on the battery settings that Maps is draining a lot of the battery. Any fix?

You said that you disabled maps but location services could still be on. Which would explain the maps related drain. Check under Settings-location access and flip the blue access my location switch to off

Now there's new battery drain issue. I have TF700 with the dock from Prime. The combination worked perfectly until the Jelly Bean update. Now when I charge tablet connected to the dock and disconnect charger dock battery drain to 4% in couple hours without using the tablet. I've done cold boot and disabled all possible ways of connection. If I leave tablet and dock separately both are saving battery but when connected together the drain is unbearable.
Maybe somebody had similar experience? Maybe there is a solution?

Yeah, my battery drains about 25 percent faster after 4.2. I have no sync, disconnect, daydream off, Google Now off, etc. Basically everything off that needs to be off. Still no improvement. I read somewhere that even if you are set to wifi off during sleep more Android background processes use wakelock so your wifi is never truly off. Apparently it is pretty common after the new 4.2 update.

I have done cold boot but not a full factory reset. I was hoping to avoid a full factory reset but I may try it. (All my saved games! heh)

I would suggest Airplane mode before sleep I saw that you did not mention it .
