Poor Battery Life after 4.2.1 update

I have horrible battery performance as well, I don't really know if it's related to JB or not because I updated to JB as soon as I bought the tablet a month ago. When I went to sleep last night the battery was at 92%. Woke up this morning and it was down to 44%! What is going on here? I have it set to disconnect wifi in sleep mode. Are there any battery saving apps out there specifically for tablets?

settings>apps>all-select an app-long press on app entry, select disable

It will then be moved to the bottom of your app list (which is in alphabetical oder) You can enable it.

Well! That means it is lying to me. When I open it it gives me the same 3 options it always did and open on startup is checked. l f I hadn't read it here I would never have known. So now I have to open setting and select airplane mode manually every time I put the tablet asleep. How inconvenient.

Mimo you can turn on Airplane mode without going to settings each time .
With 4.1 launcher go to Settings > Asus Customized Settings ,disable the Asus quick settings then tap the notification bar then tap the time and you will see a switch for the Airplane mode .
With the 4.2 launcher swipe down the right upper settings menu and long press the Airplane mode icon to toggle it on or off.
With both I believe you can press the power button and select Airplane mode from the selection then repress the power button to sleep .
