Question [SOLVED] TF300 does not recognize Hama Cardreader 35-1

    TF300TG / Android 4.1.1 / Built 10.4.3.8-20121106 / Kernel 3.1.10. / with docking

Even when the tablet boots with connected cardreader, in the app "datamanager" or "linda" there is no usb visible.
If the cardreader is connected to the pc (windows xp), there is no driver needed, and the explorer shows the device as an "wechseldatenträger" - means alternate disk or removable, function is ok.

Connected the cardreader with the pc the blue LED is on,
connected with the tabled the LED is off.

Next I will try to connect an usb-stick, therefore I need an usb gender-changer.

    Any idea...?

    Type of cardreader

    Additional Info:
The TF300 in the dock via "standard-usb-charging-kabel" doesn´t recognize any usb-stick or cardreader.
I can´t see any usb-device in the datamanager or linda.

Where exactly (path or menu) is normally a usb-device to find on the tablet?
    Thanks for help

Sorry no-one has been able to help you to date.

Perhaps you could try connecting your tf300 to a/c power - sometimes external drives do not receive sufficient power from the TF USB port.

Also try rebooting with the external storage attached.

I´m not sure how to do that.
I´ve only one cable which is connected on one side to the special asus plug to the TF300,
and on the other side is an usb-plug (male) - for charging the device I connect this usb-plug to the a/c-charger.
-> But then I havn´t got any possibility to connect an usb-stick, that´s I right?

2.point, I tried to boot in all variations, with or without connected usb-device,
    there is no difference.

But I think, what you said about the power, there can be the cause.
neither the usb-stick-led nor the cardreader-led lights, thats not normal.

    Thanks for help.

If you are plugging it into the tablet you need the ASUS USB Kit for Eee Pad Transformer.

If you have the dock the USB port should work.

The card reader needs to be connected to the standard usb port on the dock not the charging cable or like Mike said a Asus USB adapter if you do not have a dock .The charging cable is only for connecting the tablet to a PC or to charge the tablet , it cannot be used to connect to accessories .

    Ok - that´s it,
everthing runs perfectly - the usb-stick and the cardreader.

Many thanks - after 4 days searching in two forums - this was the best support.

    Thank you -
