Location Problem After Jelly Bean Update

I just received the Jelly Bean update. Everything seems to work great except for one issue. My table thinks for some reason that I am in Lynnwood Washington. So the weather widget gets the weather from there, Google Maps thinks I am in Lynnwood Washington as well. So with that in mind you can see how Google Now messes up as well. Yep it gets all its info for Lynnwood Washington. I have tried multiple cold boots with no luck. I have tried turning the GPS on and off with it not mattering. Is anyone else having this problem?

I will give the factory reset a try. I did not have to manually download Jelly Bean onto my tablet, it was just pushed to it. I will let everyone know if the update process fixes my problem. Thanks.

You could check that these location services are checked and therefor enabled:

    settings>Location services>Google's location service
    settings>Location services >Location & Google search

Dark silence, you're a lucky guy.I had same problem when upgraded to ICS but I'm in Brazil and my tablet was in Beijing! This lasted a few days and unexpectedly returned to normal function. I couldn't figure out what had happened.

Well I tried the factory reset by following the directions. It still is not working correctly. I did figure a little out. My GPS can pinpoint my location correctly when I have "Google's location service" and "Location & Google search" disabled. So only the GPS is finding my location. Once I enable both of those options, Google maps goes right back to the wrong location, back to Lynnwood WA. This is starting to get frustrating.

    Try this:

settings>Apps>all [ find Maps, press on icon, then clear data, clear cache, Force Stop] .

Cold Boot and check your settings in location services.

My guess is that it has to do with your ISP. Sometimes the internet locations can do that like they are using a VPN connection from the other area. It could be some sort of maintenance on some switches in your area and they have re-routed something. That might also explain why eduardcarlospereira's location came to normal. Try it out in a local coffee shop or a friends house and see if the behavior is the same.

Well I cleared the cache and data and forced stop. Then cold boot. I still have the same problem. I would say it is the ISP as well, except when I use Google maps on my desktop, laptop, and android phone, they all give me the correct location. I might have to try another network with the tablet and see...

This is freaky. My Galaxy Nexus has just started doing the same thing, frustrating as hell. Mine is totally stock using an OTA update, not even rooted.

At first, it was the weather apps (beautiful widgets, HD widgets) that were reporting my location as Lynnwood WA (I'm in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK!!!) and additionally, the maps and latitude were showing me there.

I did the same thing yesterday, cleared the data in the maps program and rebooted. This fixed the maps and latitude, but my weather stuff still reports Lynnwood.

It would seem strange if it was an ISP problem that my ISP, which is in the UK, would direct my location here.

I personally think it could be google, but it obviously doesn't affect everyone. Strange. I'll keep looking for a solution and keep an eye on this thread to see if anything changes. Very frustrating.
