    Recent List Removal

    Friends,

I have noticed that the recent list keeps the app running in the background. If I want to close it, hold down on the app and remove from list. This is kinda of annoying to do this for each app and can be tedious.

Is there a program or tweak that I can use to remove these recents? I was using Adv Task Killer and decided to nuke it after it wasn't really making a difference with other reasons of ending apps and saving memory..

Please advise if there is a easier way!

    Thank You,

    Dave

It really shouldn't be an issue. Android makes use of the memory of your device in a very nice way, it likes to have the memory full, so you can multi-task as well as the OS allows (true, it's not perfect, but not too bad). When it needs the memory it kills a process to start a new one. I have never actually used any task killer and very rarely clear out the recent apps deal (you can just swipe them away as well) and have never had any issues at all.

yah, thats why I nuked the task manager app... i didn't want to end something that really depended on the OS from operating. Worse cacase scenario reboot..

for me, its just a eye sore to see all those recent apps... I have the iphone and removebg apps - one tap removes everything and its clean....

thank you for the swipe info..

Like bfmetcalf said, just swipe them out rather than long press on them.

There are task killers, I use Fast Reboot. It kills all background apps (many will restart automatically). It does not clear out the list though as that is actually called "RECENT APPS" and not "RUNNING APPS"
