TF300T: Video plays for couple of minutes then stops & kicks out to the file list

I have a TF300T. I downloaded MX Player to play video file types not supported by stock video player on TF300T. My video plays for a couple of minutes, then stops and returns to the file list. It asks if I want to resume, but will not resume but starts over (only to stop again).

MX Player says it was a S/W decoder issue, that Nvidia Tegra 3 doesn't work well with S/W, and to choose H/W. However, when I chose that under their Settings, it still did the same thing.

How can I get my videos to play for their full duration? Thanks!

What type of files are you trying to play?

Does it happen with all types, or just specific ones?

Also I moved this from the TF101 help section to the TF300 Help section so other TF300 users will see it and hopefully chime in.

This applies to all file types that aren't supported by the stock player. It's happening on WMV, MOV, VOB, etc.... BTW - my TF300T came with ICS.

I use Mobo player and haven't had a problem yet. I've also purchased DVD Catalyst to move my DVDs into my tf300t (or SD card).
I don't use the stock player at all...

I had a similar problem which was resolved when I reconverted to a smaller file size. But, it may simply be a codec issue as noted in the thread.

I have the same issue, my first tought it was the player (MX player), then i try Mobo Player and still the same thing. So the next thing i did was move the file to the external SD card and see of that will help , and noup the same thing. the file is .avi and is 1.32g.

had the same problems at first.
tried out a couple of players.
the only smooth one is VPLAYER from the google play
even saw a whole mkv file with it (did a bachground app killing first)
