    Touch screen not responding

    Hi there,

    I have a new asus tf300T tablet. Got it two days ago. Updated to latest firmware and yesterday, the touch screen intermittingly stoped responded. Power, volume buttons and screen turning all work fine. This morning, I did a factory reset cause it was totally stuck and at first it did not respond but after a while (and removing it from the case) it started working again. It's been working for a couple of hours so far.

    I'm using a Poetic hard cover, is it possible that the pressure is effecting the screen? Or is it a hardware defect?

    I am reading reports here of early hardware failures on the tf300 every other day, if not more frequently. My advice, FACTORY RESET it again to protect your privacy & return it to your retailer for an immediate exchange. It is not good enough for this to have happened on day 2 of your ownership.

    I had the same issue after 4 or 5 days, ended up bringing it back to best buy and of course it worked when they checked but they didn't haggle at all. They were out of the 16 gig so I had an excuse to grab the 32 gig. Day 4 on this one, so far so good :-) hope you make out as well on this.

    I'm having this 300T for one day. Same problem.

    It is a hardware problem. A bad internal connection. If you twist the device with a little force, the screen wil be reponsive again. Or just press a little on various parts on the back while moving your other hand over the screen.
