    [SOLVED] TF300T ota update issues

Hi I own the transformer pad 300 and I've seen a lot of news about there being over the air updates for this tablet and bumping the build number up to .29 or .30 there's been two updates for this particular tablet. When I check for the update I don't see it and its been over a week i'm actually still on build number .17 which would mean I haven't even gotten the first update from last month. Whenever I go to system firmware update it doesn't find anything. Is there a way I can manually install the update? Its running stock android with no modifications. I'd like to update because the chrome browser is really buggy and so is the stock browser there's also other performance weeks that I'd like that come with the update. I've called tech support but they have been useless and rude. And I've emailed Asus a week ago and still no reply.

    Welcome to the forum

There are a few threads discussing how to update, when all else fails, but I prefer the natural method. With the 300T we need to find out the reason. Follow the instructions in the link below regarding a hard reset. You won't lose anything and it may make it work.

If that doesn't do it, go to settings - apps -all and find DMClient.Select it and tell it to clear cache and data then force close it and restart. Do the same thing for CMClient. Then go to settings - about tablet and tap the check for firmware button. Report back.

Hi thanks for your help but unfortunately neither of them worked is there anything else I can do? After clearing the cache and data on both clients does it take awhile for the system to find the firmware update? Or should it have been immediately when I checked for it?

It should find the update in seconds. Do. Determine exactly what build, (version), of the firmware you have and download that from ASUS. I have links below to the various models including the TF300. What you are looking for is something that starts with US.. or WW.... Extract the first zip file to a microSD card formatted as fat32. Insert the card. It should recognize it and perform the upgrade. You might want to do some prep work to make it a complete success, also in the links below.
