    Massive Slowdown after Firmware Update.

hey everyone I hope someone out there can help. after installing the update before last my transformer is extremely slow. most apps will frezz on and off during use. i checked to see what was running in the background and didn't find anything out of the norm. i also rebooted my transformer a few times and still no difference.

also it doesn't matter what app you are running from the internal web browser to the app market. its very aggregating because right now this is running slower than my tft101 with ICS.

    Thank you for any help.

    Welcome to the forum

I'm guessing that you are not rooted and you are using the stock Android OS. If so, try a hard reset, or 2, which is advisable after a firmware update. No data will be lost using the instructions you'll find in the link below.

Absolutely. In your app drawer is one called App Backup. It will back up all your apps and the data associated with those apps. You need to keep a copy either on an SD card or on your computer. It will NOT backup any media or files you transferred to your TF or downloaded, like music or movies or docs.

As Lee said, you will not loose any data doing a hard reset, just clears things up.

If you need to factory recover to fix things, then you need to back up.

i Went through and did a factory reset still no change. i did not re-install apps just to make sure it wasn't one of them. but its very annoying. even when in the settings menu and u tap on an option it will frezz for 10 or 215 sec anb if u tap the screen again it will ask you to either wait or close the app. any other ideas. and thank you again.

Just to be clear, we were talking about a hard reset, but you said you did a factory reset. If you did a factory reset and told the setup not to sync with Google or ASUS when you set it back up then you may have a bad unit that needs to be replaced. If you did a factory reset and did say yest to the sync question then it may have put you back where you were before the factory reset.

Just trying to make certain we're on the same page.
