    Andrew:

I too see your issue. I see it only when in power saving mode and it does not matter if in auto brightness mode or not. part of me wants to exchange it but part of me feels its related to the display/backlight dimness. I'm happy and seems to stabilize in short order...????

It must be so frustrating that the ASUS people can't find the problem, when it was quite apparent on my end as well.

Update on my situation: I returned my ASUS TF300T and got the Transformer Prime instead. Lo and behold: the same brightness flickering also happens with that model. Sigh.

I will be sending my Prime to ASUS due to a few burnt pixels, and I will also try to tell them about the brightness flickering while I'm at it.

After doing a quick search, I think there are more threads re: this issue, compared to when I first found this thread early June. I guess more people noticed the problem after using their tablets!

mine does the same thing on all modes but on balanced and performance, it is not as extreme as power saving.

I have the Infinity and it would seem to make adjustments to the screen "brightness" in steps when playing back video. I noticed elsewhere on this board that it is due to a setting called Dynamic Contrast. Without rooting it appears there is no way to turn it off. (there is a script file where a option needs to be changed from a 1 to a 0).
