    I have had enough

I will today perform the Ceremonial SMASHING of this "Piece of Rubbish" called an ASUS ........never been right since I paid ASUS 135 to replace a cracked screen caused by a manufacturing fault which they wouldn't own up to. The reason for the disposal.............I keep charging it to 100% capacity and overnight the Battery drains and it shows 0%.........despite being switched off.

Are you sure the device is dead? Or is it "just resting" (Monty python reference. Couldn't help it) when you have a battery drain problem, the first thing to do is to check the battery screen in settings. There is usually one thing (typically location) which is not letting the tablet go to sleep on its own.
*I apologize for any spelng mistakes. I frequently answer questions on my phone. The content is (usually) good, but the words may not be intelligible. If you cant understand my post... check back later or call me out on it.

Rather than smash it, I would put it where I can use it always plugged in. Or, I would see if I can find a new battery and have fun trying to take it apart and replace the battery. That's what I did with my old Droid Razr Maxx and now it's a great phone again that my wife is using.

We had a member here some time ago who loved to get Transformers that people claimed didn't work or didn't work well. He would make them work and give them to relatives. It was usually something fairly simple. I think his whole family has been Transformed.

And it's a true story AFIK. He is now into MS Surface tablets and is even doing some dev work on a word processor.

Well, given that he put out some pretty convincing photos of his TF101 with a 500GByte hard drive fitted into the dock, I'm prepared to believe that he also knows how to fix these things as well.
