Can this be used on TF700, I only see the update on the TF300 section?

Well the tf300 originaly got 4.2 in the first week of March, it is now the middle of April. So i would think you would have to waita similar amont of time before the tf700 update comes out. In the mean time you can accumulate a list of bugs and issues and send them to asus

are you rooted? if not, it won't work, it needs root access

    What is "Rooted" ??

How do I find out if I am?

Anyway, I first tried to use my new micro-HDMI cable yesterday; got no sound, came here, and when I went back to it it OFFERED me an update (which OH had been ignoring for some time!) which solved it.

Only problem is that the pic is slightly narrowed making people a bit pointy headed. Can't find anything to adjust on the TV. Is there something I should do on the TF300T ?

Rooted means the user of the android device has root access of the file system. You should Google this for in depth explanation . If you or the OH ? has not rooted the device you are not rooted . The recent update to the tf300t did not include any adjustments for the HDMI output .

Unzip the file and there will be another Zip file .Put the second Zip file on a empty micro flash card and put it in a turned off tablet . Turn the tablet on , there will be a triangle in the notification bar after bootup . Tap the triangle and it will let you know there is a Downgrade available install it . Remember this does wipe the tablet . So backup your stuff.
Does the above procedure still works? I tried it on my TF300T but no such triangle in the notification bar appears, thus unable to downgrade.

    My specs are below
    TF300T
    bootloader <1.00 e> released by "US_epad-10.6.1.27.5-20130902
    kernel 3.1.10-g215ae8bf
Locked bootloader, stock Asus Android 4.2.1, not rooted

I used a Samsung Evo 128Gb with US_epaduser_10_4_2_20_UpdateLauncher.zip on first try, while both US_epaduser_10_4_2_20_UpdateLauncher and US_epad-user-10.4.2.20.zip on 2nd try. All attempts were unsuccessful.

What do you guys suggest? The performance of my tablet is unbearable. Took forever to navigate the apps and browser and sometimes closes on its own
