Micro HDMI to HDMI cables
Hi,
I'm looking to get a micro HDMI cable to connect to my tv via regular HDMI. Which ones have you guys gotten that works with the Asus TF300?
I'm just worried because I see different types of micro HDMI cables so would this one be fine with it: Amazon.com: Mediabridge Micro-HDMI to HDMI Cable with Ethernet - (6 Feet) - FLEX Series High Speed: Electronics
Thanks for your help

Re: Micro HDMI to HDMI cables
I picked up a transformer starter kit from amazon that included a case, screen protectors, earbuds, stylus, and a micro HDMI to HDMI cable. it was about 24 dollars. sorry but I dont remember the exact details of the manufacturer but the included cable works great from my tf300t to my tv. hope this helps you out.

Michael - just get the cheapest microHDMI to HDMI cable that you can - there is no difference in the connections in the two ends of the cables between one costing $1 and one costing $50.
The various HDMI specifications you may have read about are largely irrelevant in normal use & unlike analogue cable interconnects, as HDMI is a digital signal, cheap cables work just as well as expensive ones.
As a Home Cinema buff I used to spend hundreds on analogue interconnects - but with HDMI I just get the cheapest possible cables & they have always worked perfectly. I use £1 HDMI to HDMI cables & sub £2 mini or micro HDMI to HDMI cables.
Everything you have read in sales brochures & website listings about "high speed", "gold plated", etc etc is all Snake Oil as far as HDMI interconnects is concerned.
Hope that helps.

But I'm sure you can still find other ones even longer and cheaper,
Mine is 10 ft long, I thought it's long enough but turned out it's noir kind enough for me when playing games, so be sure to consider the length

the cheapest place for cables is monoprice.com. Even with shipping I bought 2 Toslink cables and 2 HDMI cables and with shipping paid less then one toslink cable at a local store.

I had recently faced the same desicion, but one problem of this is that I felt like I was buying a cable only for this device. Fortunatelly, I found in a local store a MicroHDMI to HDMI adapter (not a cable). I now use a common HDMI-HDMI (actually, the one that was shipped with my Zune HD chargin cradle for the TV), and also can use the same cable for other devices.
This experience is derived from me buying the mini HDMI cable for the TF101. Now I already sold the TF101, but I have an HDMI cable that I cannot use for a while (yes, the person that bought the TF101 didn't bought me the cable)

Re: Micro HDMI to HDMI cables
I got mine at dx.com..
Look at http://dx.com/s/micro+hdmi to see other usable stuff as well .
Cheap, does the job and shipping is fast.

The concern with using an adapter, rather than a cable is this- a moulded adapter that a full-size cable plugs into can put undue strain on the delicate connector on the transformer. For this reason, I recommend only "adapters" that are actually a short cable. The same is true for any adapter that converts a smaller plug to a larger jack- for instance a headphone adapter. One should only use small "pigtail" type adapters, rather than moulded ones. Your tiny connectors on your devices will thank you.

The only time I have had trouble with connectivity is when I tried to use an adapter. Once bitten, twice shy & adapters are a big "no, no" for me now.
