why is Asus tablet being ignored in test by magazins?

I was reading in 'TabletWorld' version 3 - 2013, with a covertext 'all tablets tested'.
But insite there was no test of any Asus tablet (only the Google Nexus 7 made by Asus)
From iPad to the new Windows tablet, but no Transformer or newer model.
Asus was only once mentioned to compare with a much cheaper brand.
Why is Asus not interesting anymore for magazins, but a cheap, not so good performing Archos, is?
What's wrong with a Asus tablet?
Why is it totally ignored by computer media?

B) Actually, you can read quite bit in the tech blog world about both the Infinity and our TF300, as well as the new Tai Chi. Read Mobile Geeks or Mobile Tech Review. CNET always puts the TF300 in one of their favorites.

C) And, I don't think this can be said enough...Who cares?? The Asus company is doing very well. I am a consumer, not a cheering squad for Asus or Samsung, either, whose devices I also use (though they're making money hand over fist, so no one needs to be concerned about them).

My advice on this particular subject is to sit back, relax and don't worry about Asus. My new Asus Vivobook (11.6" touch screen Windows 8 notebook - not tablet, like the Vivotab) is turning out to be a nice little ultra portable addition to my device junkie stash, by the way!

Wel I do care!
Not about the Asus company, I'am still wainting 2 months on my max. 1 month waiting 50,- cash-back on a tablet with key-board.
But the only way to know if a product is any good is owning one, or a good comparing test.
If you can't compare, you will end up with a Samsung (I don't like the aggressive selling methods of this company) or iPad.
Although I use Apple for desktop (only for the better OSX), I don't want a iPad. (I hate the locked AppleStore)
So I want to read in magazins what i can't find out myself.
So perhaps the question is; why Asus tablet is not to be find in the 'normal' magazine, and only in the special tech bloc news?
And the more a product is sold, the more accessories can be find in the shop.
Not one shop in my place - big city - is selling a protection for Asus tablet or screen.
And don't start on the non-necessity of protection acc.

These tablets have been out for a while now and have died out a bit now, and were quickly beaten by tablets like the nexus 10

When the Infinity was first released, it was in T3 and Stuff a number of times, and these are probably the two biggest general tech magazines in the UK, and UK only get one choice, 64gb w/ keyboard :/

Since the magazine you describe is specific to the tablets available to your country your complaint is a local one not a global one .

Since the magazine you describe is specific to the tablets available to your country your complaint is a local one not a global one .

I'am not direct complaining, but want to know why.
It is helpfull to know that most new tablets have no way to upgrade the storage with external hardware cards.
The Transformers do.
I want to know such things by reading a tablet test.

I'm agreeing with you...even the few retailers that do carry a couple of the ASUS tablets don't have an accessory for it in sight.

Many times reviews are provided only when the company is willing to lend a sample for review, which they don't always do. Not all reviewers actually bother to buy the products they review after all.

It also depends on what contacts a reviewer has as to what review opportunities they may get access to... While companies treat these reviews like advertisement, it's usually treated as a investment on their part and they would prefer getting reviews they know will be favorable.

Mind, print media isn't as popular as it used to be and more and more people have turned to online news sources. So magazines sometimes get treated as a afterthought these days unless they're a very big publications...

All this is of course besides the point of whether a product you want reviewed is even sold in your region and whether the company wants to invest anything to a specific region or not.

Having done a few reviews myself, it's a interesting business to say the least...
