    TF300T - JB 4.1.1(oficial) - Slow I/O

Does someone notice slow I/O Performance on official JB 4.1.1?

    Screenshot_2013-01-02-11-24-45.jpg
you can see is almost equal to TF201 score except for the GREEN (I/O) test. Is ridiculously low!

benchmark test done on factory reset, only Quadrant installer, Performance mode, all Wireless connections OFF.
    Android 4.1.1
    Compilation 10.4.2.18

I've another Allwinner A10 Single core CPU at 1.2Ghz Chinise Tablet with doubles the I/O performance...

This was also the case with ICS . I do not have my test results to show you though . I have read about this on other forums also .
If you Google it you will probably find more examples . I know this has been a topic on the tf300 XDA forum. As far as I know there has not been a solution.

    ^^^^^That sums it up well.

I know I have read articles by various technical sites - like Anandtech - where they suggest the main "issue" with the TFs is the slow/poor quality of the internal flash memory used by Asus.

I am not in a position to confirm or deny their "findings", but it certainly seems plausible.

Same Issue here. I also do the test with my Galaxy SIII and it is by far more faster than the TF300T.

It's the use of slower MLC NAND flash chips and using poor quality NAND controllers. The Nexus 7 also suffered from these problems (although to a lesser extent)...

MLC NAND chips are slower than DRAM, hence the poor sequential write speeds.

    I still wouldn't swap my TF300T though

Okay I am going to show off...here are my score on my TF300T

I've only got these scores because I am running a custom ROM with an over clocked kernel.
Seriously recommend trying it if you want better performance. I was unhappy with my device until I took the plunge and don't regret doing it.

Hopefully I can help some other people out here to get the same results
