The Random Reboot Be Bop: The Story Continues
When we left off, I was ruing the fact that since the JB "upgrade" and even after the subsequent firmware update, I, like many others, was experiencing constant random reboots that had never happened before. I tried a triple factory reset, but that did not help. Then, I discovered my problem was worse. I had been routinely keeping my device on, closed, and regularly recharging it. Yesterday, I turned it off before I went to work and came home to find it on, with the battery nearly drained from both the tab and the dock. I recharged it, then later turned it off, fell asleep, only to wake up and open it up to discover it was back on again, with the battery down once more. I turned it off again and found out that immediately turned itself on again. I recharged it and took out the SD card from the dock. I turned it off, and it did not turn itself back on again. I brought it to work, and as it sat open, sans the SD card, it did not reboot. Then, I got really daring. I had the SD card with me separately and put it in my computer. To my surprise, it was formatted to FAT32, even though it was a 64 gb card. I had the back up to all the videos (it was full of full length movies), so I reformatted the card. Because this was Windows (7), I could only use exFAT (or NFTS, which I did not want). Then I put all the mp4 files back on the card and put it back in my Transformer. I can now power it off without it actually rebooting instead. I left it on and open, and it has not rebooted. Could this have been the trick, or will I be disappointed again? I don't know; I'll keep monitoring the situation.

I am so scared to get hopeful, but so far, it looks real good.

And I approve the title of this thread...Random Reboot Be Bop.

Installed the CleanROM 2.5 and so far no reboot. People on the forum says that they're not rebooting after installing this ROM. Not promoting anything here, jus saying
The creator of the ROM says that he's running his tablet for 77+ hours now, using his ROM and so far no reboot.
I'm on the 22nd hour now (there has been a while since I took that screen).
I have the dock attached with a 32GB SDHC Class 10 card inside it and I have another shady 2GB microSD Class 4 inside the tablet, you can see the two SD card icons on the status bar

LOL You mean you aren't getting royalties for this? This is the 4th or 5th time you've posted about it.

Well, yesterday Asus gave me an RMA number when I my problems had reached a fever pitch (including rebooting when I tried to power off), but today, my situation seems pretty good. I had one random reboot over the last day and a half, and my pad does power off. So, I guess RMAing is uneccessary. New day, new wallpaper. Maybe the worst is behind me.

You're "not promoting anything here", but I think you're advertising something here.

Here's my latest status as of a couple of minutes ago. I turned my pad off the morning to make sure it was still not rebooting when I tried to just power it off. No custom ROM. Just stock OS.
