Question Battery is eaten by "PowerManagerService"

    Hi there.

A problem just occurred, where my battery is being eaten by "PowerManagerService" according to BetterBatteryStats.

I just restarted my tablet - reset timers in CPUSpy and pushed the "powerbutten" so it would go to standby.
But the problem is, my tablet is not going into deep sleep, even after about 2 hours when it's not being used. It's running at 102 MHz, when it's supposed to be on standby.

The only change thing I can come up with, is that I have installed Adobe Reader and updated my Facebook app.

Is there anyone out there, with a possible solution? Or maybe a clue about what's going on here?
I have attached the dumpfile and screenshots from BetterBatteryStats and and CPUSpy
(The charging on the graph is because I also have the keyboard dock)

    Welcome to the forum!

Do you happen to have WakeLock installed?

If so, this is keeping the tablet from sleeping. I think that PowerServiceManager is part of WakeLock.

I'm afraid I didn't even know that there was an app that could do so - I actually kinda needed an app like that, when I run server environment on my tablet, so thank you.

I got so frustrated about the problem, I reset my tablet and installed the very same apps. So far, the problem is gone.
Maybe it's some glitch in ICS since it began all of a sudden?

It has happened to me before, when I had a widget running from WiMP (Scandinavian music provider like Spotify). This widget caused the tablet not to go into deep sleep, so I removed the widget and the problem stopped.

Glad you got it sorted for now.

Those apps that kill the battery can drive one to drink.

    Indeed they are.
I'll post here again, if the problem gets back (which I very much hope i won't!)

    Thanks anyway Frederuco.
