    Thumbs up Poor quality and shocking service experience on the TF300

    I couldn't wait for the tf700 so caved in and order the tf300 with dock from Tigerdirect in May. The tablet was pixelating and crashing intermittently. What was more irritating was that it couldn't recognise the keyboard dock. By the time Asus telephone support realised or would admit that this was a hardware issue, it was over the 2 weeks that TigerDirect would honour a return.

    So I sent the tablet into Asus on an RMA at my cost. They have now had the tablet for nearly 4 weeks and are busy "repairing". I can't figure out why they are repairing a tablet that was sold to me DOA and not replacing. Now I just want it back but it seems to be stuck in the Asus service centre black hole. I call in, am promised it will be completed and sent off in days and nothing happens. The supervisors are well trained in diffusion and apologies but don't seem to be able to do anything.

    never buy a tablet from a place like Tigerdirect . its a shame that you tablet was doa its rare this happens the tf 300 is awesome

    The moment you knew it was defective you should have immediately returned it to Tiger. You didn't have to deal with Asus directly nor need their permission to return it either. As the above poster stated, DOA's are very rare..It's a shame..

    When you get a Lemon, immediately return it, not worth the trouble.

    That's why I bought mine from Amazon. When I had a problem they took care of everything. They shipped the new one before they received the defective one. Since I NEVER return anything I was concerned about the process but I couldn't be happier with the result.

    Sent mine back on an RMA on Saturday. Phone support from asus was polite and professional. They promised it back in 2 weeks, I really hope not to repeat your experience, pete18.

    That's why I buy all my electronics local. Although I don't like Best Buy, I tend to buy everything from them because of their return policy.

    I must say I am a little concerned about the build quality of the tf300 & its dock.

    I keep reading DOA or early failure posts... not good

    Wow, first I've seen of issues with the TF300's. We have 6 of us here in my office with them, not a single problem yet.

    You have to remember... For every bad review you have hundreds more, that are happy with their product. It's the folks who get burned, that go out of their way to find a support Site, to vent their frustrations.
