    Using Google Chrome

I'm new to tablets and I am trying to set up Google Chrome to be easy to use. I've tried the "help" page witch is not much "help".

Bookmarks seem to be several pages in. You have to open an icon in the upper left, select from three different bookmark folders. No list deplay of bookmarks? No bookmark bar? No easy way to get to frequently viewed pages. The help page tells me to open the wrench icon on the menu bar to set my homepage. I have no menu bar, can't find any way to add a menu bar.

I also have trouble with the stock browser. No homepage button to take me to my homepage. Bookmarks are large boxes, no list options. So far, not impressed with the browsing experience on my new tablet. Anyone else having trouble?

Nope. It's really easy to use. Have you tried installing another browser? Try dolphin. Maybe you'll find it easier to use than chrome.

Another failure with using chrome is it wont open anything that uses flash. You have to use another browser to view. (Google say its too hard to make flash work with chrome so they have abandoned the idea, sounds like a nod to apple if you ask me)

I recommend using ICS Browser+ It's based on the stock browser, but much improved. To be honest, I gave Chrome a whirl, but soon uninstalled it, it would give me a white or black screen when I tried to open a page. I use it on my PC, but for me, it's not tablet ready!

    Hi Char1ie & welcome

The thing is, Android & its apps are different to Windows. Sometimes, very different. The bottom line is that you will need to adapt to a different OS & way of doing things. Additionally, the Chrome browser is still a beta version in Android.

That said, many find the browsing experience to be different - read this thread for example - http://www.transformerforums.com/for...ustration.html

Finally, the links in my signature are designed for new users. Have a browse through them to help yourself get orientated.

For me the browser of choice is Opera Mobile. I've tried all the above browsers but always return & use Opera Mobile. I find it reliable, fast & easy to use. Certainly worth a try anyway.

It's actually Adobe who stop supporting flash and chrome was released after adobe announced their decision to stop support for flash although I think they still release 2 security updates after that announcement.
