    TF300 Sleep of Death?

Picked my TF300 up 5 days ago and have not had any issues. Yesterday, however, I got the keyboard dock and 3 times since then, my TF300 has gone in to a deep sleep and needs to have the power button held down for about 15 seconds in order to turn back on!

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this? I am going to keep it off of the dock for a while and see if continues to happen.

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

Interesting - it *could* be a firmware bug related to certain conditions.

Does it actually switch off, (ie reboots when you turn on) or is it on, but just slow to wake up?
If it is just slow, perhaps it is set to turn the screen on last after it has initialised wifi, mounted external cards etc...

I had this happen to me tonight. I didnt read this thread b4 but I remember seeing "sleep or death" so I went on my phone to read this thread and I was able to get the tf300 up and running again. Just wondering if it has done it anymore to ppl? Or is the hard reset the fix for it?

I did do the hard reset / factor reset three times in a row and so far it hasn't done it. Gmail locks up from time to time and closes on it's own still.

After I had it on I shut it down and tried to turn it on and only had to hold the on button down for about 3 seconds. Same thing today it turned on as normal. But one other thing I have noticed is when I hit the home button it goes to home screen #1 instead of screen #3 like it used to. Out of the 5 home screens they give you I only use one (center one #3). So it's kinda a pain now.
