Another one from XDA....22 minutes long but I think it's very well done. Touches on a couple of the specifics I was wondering about. A good watch.
Crud...I don't know how to add the LINK. It's trying to embed it.
Since I'm apparently incapable of posting it correctly, it's from mobiletechreview. Hopefully you can get to it with a search. Sorry.

Best Tablet Value For The Money, By Far!
I've had my TF300 for a day and a half and here are some initial impressions:
- Good build quality.
- No problems with GPS or WiFi -- in fact, no problems at all so far.
- Everything seems faster and smoother than TF101.
- I like the relocation of the power button.
- Much better audio than TF101 -- volume is great for an older guy who's going deaf.
I'm probably forgetting to mention things but we're taking care of four young grandchildren today and my time is very limited. So far I'm very happy with the TF300. I think it's a great value for $399.

My TF300 was delivered on Tuesday. That same day I had to go out of town for work
.
Anyways, as soon as I got home today the Transformer was sitting on my kitchen table. I actually prefer the way how the TF300 feels in your hands compared to the Prime, the plastic body gives you a much better feel and grip. After close examination there are no scratches, no loose edges, or dead pixels on black background (based on boot screen). This is a slight sign of relieve for me, especially after going through the Transformer Prime fiasco. I ended up returning 3 transformer primes with major defects back in January.
Now I need to let it charge overnight and I really hope everything runs smoothly tomorrow. Also, my dock was already shipped.

Lisa from Mobile Tech Review always gives really good, in-depth reviews that touch upon many more "real world" use issues than do many of the more technical reviews. She does a great job.

I know exactly what you mean about the buttons on the og, and I am happy to say that it's not an issue in the least with my 300. Just as firm as the iPad.
Edit: The one problem I am having is two games out of the TegraZone (The only two I've downloaded so far, Dungeon Defenders and Zen Pinball) are giving me a strange flicker on the left side of the screen, can anyone comment on this? Something app side to be fixed in a future update? Or something to worry about? If it helps, Pinball seems to have stopped since a hard reset.

Can you guys with the tf300 please update your profile tablet selection. Thank you
Oh, and another +1 re Lisa at Mobile Tech Reviews - the best reviewer of this sort of stuff on You Tube IMO.

No problem Arthur - what choices do folks want to see...?

For the most part I am happy with the tf300
I've had an archos android tablet and a nook color (ran both 2.3 and the honeycomb preview) and I've had some low/mid end android phones.....just so you know my previous experiance....
I like the tf300. It does everything I expected and has impressed my friends and co-workers. Great display, sends a really clear picture via hdmi to my tvs, runs much faster than I've experienced with my other devices (which is pretty easy), and tether's nicely to my phone.
Unfortunately I've crashed a few browsers trying to view different sites with flash.
