help with new asus tf300t touchpad

Hi there, I just changed a broken touch screen for the tf300t, the older version was G03 so I bought g03 replacement and installed it. But it doesn't work, I have katkiss 7.0 ROM and it seen work fine on teamwin recovery sometimes, but it doesn't when booting normally. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time

Sorry I'm late, been real busy lately. If your screen works on TWRP but not the system ROM I'd guess you have software problems, not hardware. Best bet would be to download the latest Asus firmware, flash back to dead-stock, and start over fastboot flashing TWRP and then the ROM. That should cure any possible bootloader problems also. Format /data before flashing the stock firmware. But on second thought, before you try all that, get a HDMI cable and hook the tablet to your TV. If that works, you're back to hardware problems. If not see above.

Hi, thanks for responding Kevin, the screen works perfect, is the digitalizer that doesn't work, I just flashed stock firmware and it works sometimes and suddenly doesn't recognize any touch. Anyway, I'll flahs again and install TWRP again. Somewhere I read something about drivers for the digitalizer, do you know something about it?

Not really, no, drivers (or "kernel modules") are built into the kernel (duh!), this is top-level developer stuff. My dev title was given mainly because I couldn't stick to the rules around here so they promoted me to a level that allows me to get away with bloody murder. A bad digitizer following a screen and/or digitizer replacement is almost certainly a hardware problem, although it won't hurt to re-flash everything and confirm that. If you have a dock or a USB-OTG adapter you can plug in a mouse to make things easier. But I think you'll wind up opening the case again and re-seating your ribbon cables. If you get all that done and it still doesn't work, you'll have to decide how much more time and money you want to invest in a 300.

Ok, i'll give another try and do all your recommendations, if still doesn't work I'll start saving money for a zenpad 2 I guess. Thanks for your patience and help!

I bet you did not get the cable(s) seated properly when you reassembled the screen. That's very easy to do. Open it up again and check the connections. If it works sometimes but randomly not, it's most likely hardware.
Both digitizer and LCD cables have a white or black line (can't remember the color) you are supposed to see parallel and evenly just before the clamp.

Yeah, what @DB said. And your English is better than some native English speakers. Hey, you even use punctuation!

I'll take a look on that, I've been a little busy and I couldn't open it up again, but I"ll give it a try tomorrow. Thanks for the help!
