Recent KATKiss 5.1 #24 install - wma Media Format no longer available?

Have a TF300T & recently installed KATKiss 5.1 #24 ROM, GAPPs, KAT App as per XDA linked versions & all works fine, including other Apps.

But getting error message for wma media file format in Music Player & Player Pro.
"Sorry the player does not support this type of media"

It plays mp3 but not wma - which both played for years before the ROM. (Have Gbs of wma files)

Can't be played in other File Browsers either. PowerAmp does work. But I prefer Player Pro - which seems to depend on the Android media player for its formats.

Is there any way to download format support for more media file types?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum

Have you tried asking the developer for your ROM? Or the developer/s for the apps you mentioned?

My suggestion would be to convert your entire collection of .wma files to .mp3. You'll probably want to do that with a desktop computer, MUCH faster than a tablet. But .wma is losing popularity, and soon to be obsolete altogether.
