    Invalid password when unlocking device

So I have read a few threads already and have not been able to fix this. When I enter my password into the Unlock Device Tool it tells me I am using and invalid password. I have turned of 2 step verification and tried using its password generator. I have turned on access for less secure apps. I have reset it, triple checked my password is correct, made sure the device was properly registered on the ASUS website and nothing will work. I can not get it to take my password and it is becoming very frustrating. Any help will be appreciated

    Welcome to the forum

Can you use that password to log into the Google Play Store? Does your WiFi normally turn on automatically?

It sounds like your best shot may be a factory reset. Something isn't right for sure.

That's been happening to everyone now. Simply allowing less secure apps no longer cuts the mustard. The workaround is to eliminate the Google account from the tablet, then run the unlock tool before adding it back. V.7 seems to be successful more often than V.8, BTW. @leeshor's suggestion to factory reset is a good idea, makes sure the account is eliminated entirely. This has worked for everybody I've read about now for the last six months or so. Lots of luck!

Thank you so much! I factory reset and it still didn't work. Deleted the google account. Instant success!
