[SOLVED] TF300T Won't turn on (possibly bricked)

    Hello,

A few months ago I decided to unlock the boorloader, install CWM Recovery and flash CyanogenMod 10 on my TF300T. Everything went absolutely fine, but then my brother installed random apps and one of them came with a virus. So i had to format the whole tablet using the recovery. Then, I flashed the ASUS Stock ROM back. Because I was still running the 4.1 bootloader, flashing the new stock ROM upgraded it to the newest bootloader.

I could boot my tablet into Android and everything went fine. Bur I couldn't mount any partition with ANY recovery. So I decided to reflash the stock ROM. But the process got stuck, so I shut down the tablet by presiing the on/off-button. I know, really stupid thing to do. Now my tablet doesn't even want to turn on. I've tried several things, like holding the power button for 1 min and holding vol down button + power button for 1 min.

I'm afraid my tablet is totally bricked. Is there a method to fix this, or do I have to send it back to the computer store or to ASUS?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi jonasty,
That is very good news. Sure helps when you hear so much more complaints about Asus. It might be nice for some of us that still have some reliance on Asus for you to tell us just how the procedure went with you. We hear about so many horror stories, it would be nice to hear about one that went right.

It looks like Asus tested your tablet and found the motherboard needed replacing. They also re-imaged the Operating System for you.

Good to see you and your tablet sidekick are back in action. I've marked this thread as "SOLVED." Cheers.
