It should be, but some versions of CWM can also see the external card and also call it sdcard. It should not be mounted at /sdcard/ AFAIK

Can that be the source of my problem, since it can't mount /sdcard using the internal memory?

That very well could be the issue.

I am not versed at how to troubleshoot this sort of an issue, so I may not be much help going forward.

Hey, you're helping me a lot with this. Just a question, can I use someone elses NAND backup to restore on mine?

UPDATE: I found a backup that I made using Clockwork, not even restoring the backup solved the problem.

Tried Cold-booting Linux and it didn't work neither.

Now I'm really worried! OMG I can't believe I've bricked it!

Is there a different way to restore this NAND?

Also, I noticed that /sdcard exists on the internal memory, even though ClockWork says it can't mount /sdcard/. Tried rm -R /sdcard and mount it again with ClockWork, didn't work, it says it can't mount /sdcard.

Here's the output for the mount command
    Code:
    root@android:/sdcard # mount
    mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
tmpfs on /dev type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,relatime,mode=755)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,relatime,mode=600)
proc on /proc type proc (rw,relatime)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,relatime)
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 on /system type ext4 (rw,relatime,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1,data=ordered)
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 on /cache type ext4 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1,data=ordered)
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 on /staging type ext3 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,barrier=1,data=writeback)
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p8 on /data type ext4 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1,data=ordered)
    /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 on /sdcard type vfat (rw,nodev,noatime,nodiratime,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,allow_utime=0022,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,errors=remount-ro)
    root@android:/sdcard #
So I went ahead and ls'ed /dev/block dir
    Code:
    root@android:/dev/block # ls
    ls
    loop0 loop4 mmcblk0 mmcblk0p2 mmcblk0p6 mmcblk1p1
    loop1 loop5 mmcblk0boot0 mmcblk0p3 mmcblk0p7 platform
    loop2 loop6 mmcblk0boot1 mmcblk0p4 mmcblk0p8
    loop3 loop7 mmcblk0p1 mmcblk0p5 mmcblk1
    root@android:/dev/block #
    Now I'm confused
    Code:
    root@android:/dev/block # ls -e -p
    ls -e -p

How does it work? It mounts /sdcard inside a single file named mmcblk1p1?

I can't believe that there isn't a way to restore it, since I can use ADB, Fastboot and ClockWork. There must be a way to re-structure the storage and put stuff inside, just need to find out how ;(

OK, I strongly believe it's a /sdcard problem. Does anybody know how to destroy the current mount and remount it again? It's not like I have anything there, since the /sdcard I can access now is the external SDCard, not the internal memory.

    Anyone?

When I try this using adb shell
    Code:
    root@android:/ # recovery --update_package=DATA:US_epad-user-10.4.2.9.zip
    recovery --update_package=DATA:US_epad-user-10.4.2.9.zip
I get this on ClockWorkMod Recovery's log
    Code:
    Finding update package...
E: unknown volume for path [DATA:US_epad-user-10.4.2.9.zip]
    E: Can't mount DATA:US_epad-user-10.4.2.9.zip
    Installation aborted
    Code:
    root@android:/ # e2fsck /dev/block/mmcblk1p1
    e2fsck /dev/block/mmcblk1p1
    e2fsck 1.41.12 (17-May-2010)
e2fsck: Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/block/mmcblk1p1
Filesystem mounted or opened exclusively by another program?
    8|root@android:/ #
Changed the recovery to TWRP and it doesn't mount the internal /sdcard neither.

    Anyone?

Looks like partition sizes chaged with the Asus update. I couldn't flash CM10 or any other rom as well (signature mismatch). If you installed the official 4.1.1 update, you need to manually install it again. Older versions and rollbacks wont work unless you push to some trickery mmcblk0p4, but that's another thread in itself

Download the JB update from Asus's website (if you still have it, that's fine) and extract the blob file. Put the blob file in teh same directory as your fastboot. Boot your TF300 into bootloader and enter:

fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob

It will take a while to install, so be patient. Hope this helps
Doing it now. I'll update as soon as I finish it. Thank you very much for your reply.

UPDATE 1: I can see the shiny-silver ASUS and the progress circles, waiting to see what happen!
UPDATE 2: Setting up Jellybean now (Welcome setup)!
UPDATE 3: Looks like it's working!

Now... Is there a root method working already? I was wondering if there's a way to restore my backups, at least the ones I made for my gaming progress.

Glad you got it sorted out.

    Marked at [SOLVED]

To root it, I think you just need to reinstall CWM, then flash SuperSU through CWM. (Or TWRP if that is your flavor of choice).

Here is a link to a CWM SuperSU flashable file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...6&d=1342793670

    Welcome!

Did you unlock your bootloader or are you still stock?

Hi, I'm in the same boat as j3r4h. I literally got my tablet TODAY, rooted it, put on everything I wanted, and everything was fine. One of my apps told me that it needed a manual reboot. I rebooted it, and it looked like it was updating my apps. I noticed that it was stuck on "Android is updating - Starting Applications" for literally over an hour. I held down the power button to reboot it, and now it's stuck on the metallic Asus load screen.
I've tried holding down the power button + the Vol. down button, and chosen all the options I could, and it's still stuck on the metallic Asus logo.

I can't access my tablet at all, and when I plug in my tablet, my computer makes a sound that makes it sound like it recognized it, but I can't see it in my actual computer. I have a PC. I also went into Device Manager, and uninstalled the drivers for my tablet. Which was probably stupid, but I was getting desperate. Now, when I plug in my tablet, it tries to download the drivers, but it can't.

I'm also completely un-tech-savvy. I lot of these solutions make no sense to me and completely go over my head. I really don't want to have wasted the money, especially since I rooted the device, and I don't think I can return it or send it to Asus. Nor do I want to.

I don't know if j3r4h also rooted their device, and frankly, I don't even know if I'm referring to the same thing as you are. (Is bootloader the same as rooting? I really don't know.)

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm seriously so lost and so frustrated. Thank you so much!
