Rooting & ROMing on the tf300 - yes, no, maybe & why

The TF300T has the same two options, MTP and PTP. Both are pretty much MTP modes. Boo. :P

Cheers for the screenshot. I'm at work now, on the Mac and going to see if I have access to install this stuff to let me use the TF300T here... and the answer is no. Damnit. I doubt the IT dude here would install this for me since it is not "work related." :P See, this is why I / we need Mass Storage. People who own their own Macs, it's no problem, but still Mass Storage Devices never have this issue or need to install extra stuff.

I'll add my penny's worth - if no one minds ...

I root for one important reason - Google.

I'm not going rant about them, but I remember when Gates was evil, with Google continually violating their own privacy policy, I'd like a firewall. Now if I could get one thast did NOT need root, then I'd be happy.

BTW anyone know the procedure to root a TF300 with build 10.4.2.17?
